Soke Kenzo Mabuni
Kenzo Mabuni is the youngest son of Kenwa Mabuni, the founder of Shito Ryu Karate-Do. He began his karate training, under his father's watchful eye and guidance, at the age of 14. He trained continuously and consistently under his father's instruction until his passing in 1952. After the death of his father, Kenzo Mabuni's mother asked him to take over the helm of his father's karate style. He accepted this great responsibility and became the inheritor of his father's style and assumed the title of Soke. Soke Mabuni also inherited all of his father's notes and records and the actual dojo of his father, Kenwa Mabuni. He has dedicated his life to preserving and promulgating the true teaching of his father's karate.
